Welcome to Moultonborough Central School

Our VISION is to prepare and empower each student to shape his or her future with
knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to thrive in a changing world.

About Our School

Principal Kathleen D'Haene welcomes you to Moultonborough Central School. The school offers an integrated preschool program for children with special needs from ages 3-5 as well as offering enrollment by lottery as space allows for other Moultonborough preschool aged children.

We have full day kindergarten in which the students are able to ride the bus to and from school, have lunch, and enjoy the many offerings here at MCS.

Special education case managers, a reading specialist and trained staff support education in the school. MCS has a full time registered nurse, guidance counselor, library media specialist, and technology support technician. Moultonborough School District's two schools also share the services of a school psychologist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, and special education director.

Every year Café Services conducts student satisfaction surveys to gather feedback from students regarding the Food Service program in their school.

Don't Forget Dominica!

MCS has been following and supporting the rebuilding of the country of  Dominica after the horrible devastation of Hurricane Maria. Our own Mrs. Sandy has family there and we connect with them and our partner school the Tete Morne School to follow their progress. Mr. Dempsey is coordinating our efforts.Click here to read more.

  • New Preschool Program

SAU 45’s Early Childhood Program is expanding!  Preschool will be offered for ALL students age 3-5 within the district for the 2018-2019 school year. This will be a tuition free program for all families living in Moultonborough.  Our goal is to ensure kindergarten readiness for all students in our district and we welcome the opportunity to invite you and your child into our program.  Our focus is on a play based curriculum that is rich in language and hands on experiences. Programming will run between 3-5 days per week (3 year old students in the morning, 4 year old students in the afternoon).  This is a new program and we will plan our 2018-2019 schedule based on the number of those interested for the coming school year.  Enrollment is open and you are encouraged to call our MCS office at 476-5535 to sign up.  An orientation will be held in June that details program specifics and next steps.
