Academic Probation

1) Students are placed on academic probation for the next squarter if they receive one or more grades of “F”, or two or more grades of “D” for a quarter on a report card. This applies to all quarters, including the fourth quarter (7th graders are exempt for the 1st quarter). Power School provides real-time grade information for every class so that parents and students may monitor academic progress and avoid Academic Probation. Students are on Academic Probation for an entire quarter until the next report card is issued

2) Any student on academic probation may NOT participate in athletic practices or competitions, musical productions or other co-curricular activities. Field trips are permissible only if they are part of a class assignment. Any student on academic probation may not park their vehicle on school grounds.

3) After one week, a student may participate fully, for the following week, if maintaining a "C” or better average in ALL courses as documented by grades in PowerSchool as of noon on Monday. Student eligibility will be determined weekly for the duration of the quarter that a student is on academic probation. Seventh graders may have a maximum of one “D” grade on Powerschool with the rest of the grades being C or better in order to participate in co-curricular activities.

Reminder: students must also meet the NHIAA minimum requirement of passing 4 units of work in the preceding quarter in order to participate in any co-curricular activity.
